Important Announcement - Payments in respect of Tours / Visits to the Authority's Generating Facilities / Power Plants

It is announced for the information of individuals, groups, institutions and the general public that effective December 1, 2018, the Authority will no longer accept cash payments in respect of tours/visits to any of the Authority’s generating facilities/power plants.

Payment of tour fees should now be made to the GCB Bank Account detailed below:

Please note that payment must reflect the exact visitor category and number of persons visiting.  Evidence of payment/pay-in slips should be presented on the day of the tour/visit.

Visit Procedures

Note: Each site is a security zone, and as such the following conditions govern all visits/tours:

  • Guided tours begin on the hour, from 9:00 a.m and end at 3 p.m. each day.
  • Visitors who arrive inside the hour, (eg. 9:15 a.m, 10:36 a.m, 1:07 p.m) would have to wait until the next hour.
  • For security and safety reasons, the Power Plants are normally out of bounds. Certain portions of the plants are therefore to be viewed from a distance.
  • Photographs are not allowed inside and outside the plant.
  • All cellular phones must be switched off within the plant premises.
  • No instruments or weapons are allowed within the plant premises. Offenders will be prosecuted.
  • For their own safety, visitors are advised to comply with all instructions given by the guides.
