Public Notice: Issuance of Fake VRA Appointment Letters to Potential Employment Seekers by Unscrupulous Individual(s)

It has come to the attention of the Management of the Volta River Authority (VRA) that, unscrupulous persons are issuing fake appointment letters to unsuspecting potential employment seekers, purporting to be appointing them into various roles at the VRA.

We are reliably informed that this illegality is being perpetuated by the issuance of letters that carry VRA’s trademark and also purported to have been signed by an official of VRA. The scammers demand money to process and confirm employment for these unsuspecting employment seekers.

The Authority wants to reiterate that, it has not engaged the services of agencies and or persons to undertake any recruitment exercise on its behalf and that, these persons are by their conduct, defrauding unsuspecting job seekers and the general public.

We also wish to put it on record that, at no stage in the Authority’s recruitment process is payment of any sort required from a potential employment seeker.

The VRA therefore wishes to caution the unsuspecting public to be cautious of their dealings with such fraudulent persons and further advise that, under no circumstance should anyone pay money for appointment into VRA, because that is not part of the Authority’s recruitment culture.

When in doubt, kindly contact us at corpcomm@vra.com or WhatsApp line 0501620439 for verification.

VRA wishes to advise Job seekers and the general public to disregard the activities of these fraudulent persons at all times.
