Board Chairman, Chief Executive and Director HR Win Top Awards at 2023 NGBLA

In recognition of their exceptional and influential leadership, the Board Chairman of VRA, Mr. Kofi Tutu Agyare, Chief Executive, Mr. Emmanuel Antwi-Darkwa and Director, Human Resources (HR), Mr. Eric Mensah-Bonsu were recently honoured with various distinguished awards at the 3rd edition of the National Governance and Business Leadership Awards (NGBLA 2023).

The Board Chairman was named winner in the category of ‘Outstanding Board Chairman of the Year in the Public Sector’, while Mr. Antwi-Darkwa was awarded ‘Top Transformational Business Leader of the Year 2023’ in recognition of their remarkable merits and achievements in business transformation for national development. Director, HR was also adjudged ‘Top Influential HR Business Leader of the Year 2023’.

VRA as an organization was awarded the Most Innovative Learning and Development Strategy (Public Sector), HR Team of the Year: (Gold-Public Sector) and the Most Outstanding Contribution to Power Sector Development.

Addressing the gathering, Board Chairperson, Governance and Business Boardroom and former Advisor, Office of the Chief Executive, VRA, Dr. (Mrs.) I. Stella Agyenim-Boateng noted that the National Governance & Business Leadership Awards is a distinguished C-level high-impact economic devel¬opment and strategic leadership awards programme, created by the Governance & Business Board¬room, which aims to champion and celebrate good corporate gov¬ernance, outstanding leadership, economic empowerment, and job creation in Ghana.

This year’s event was under the theme ‘Transformational Leadership; Passion, Vision & Strategic Management for Development’.
