Leadership of IIA Ghana Pays Courtesy Call on Management of VRA

The Leadership of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Ghana on Friday, May 17, 2024, paid a courtesy call on the Management of the Volta River Authority (VRA) at the Electro Volta House.

The visit, which formed part of activities by IIA Ghana to mark their Audit Awareness Walk was in line with efforts to strengthen partnership with the Authority.

Welcoming the IIA Ghana delegation on behalf of the Chief Executive, Mr. Emmanuel Antwi-Darkwa, the Deputy Chief Executive (Finance), Dr. Ebenezer Tagoe, acknowledged the crucial role auditors play in enhancing the functionality of organizational systems.

He urged members of the Audit fraternity to be acquainted with latest trends such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) issues, the use of cloud-based audit tools, blockchain technology, data analytics and others.

Established in April 2001, IIA Ghana has been committed to promoting and developing the practice of internal auditing in Ghana.
