VRA Health Services Limited Marks 60th Anniversary with Grand Durbar at Akosombo
The VRA Health Services Limited (VHSL) has commemorated its 60th Anniversary with a grand durbar held at Akosombo.
The event, under the theme: "60 Years of Providing Quality Healthcare", brought together key stakeholders and dignitaries who have played significant roles in VHSL’s journey.
The Chairman for the occasion, Mr. Kofi Tutu Agyare (Board Chairman of VRA), in his opening remarks, reflected on the remarkable achievements of VHSL over the past six decades, emphasizing its unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch healthcare services.
The Board Chairman of VRA Health Services Limited and Chief Executive of VRA, Mr. Emmanuel Antwi-Darkwa, in his address, highlighted VHSL’s key milestones, innovations, and the pivotal role it has played in improving the health and well-being of communities within its operational areas. He expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who have contributed to the growth and success of VRA Health Services.
The Special Guest of Honour and Minister of State at the Ministry of Energy, the Honourable Herbert Krapa, in his remarks lauded VHSL for its profound impact on society, noting that the organization's efforts have not only elevated the standard of healthcare delivery but have also contributed significantly to the overall development of communities within its operational areas. He encouraged the Management and Staff of VSHL to continue striving for excellence in service delivery.
A significant highlight of the durbar was the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the VRA Hospital in Akosombo. The initiative marks a major step toward enhancing the Hospital's capacity to provide specialized care for newborns in Akosombo and its environs, reflecting VHSL’s ongoing commitment to meeting the evolving healthcare needs of communities.
