VRA Holds Annual EPP Sensitization Workshop at the Central Tongu District

The Volta River Authority has held its annual Emergency Preparedness Plan Sensitization Workshop in the Central Tongu District to inform stakeholders about the possible precautionary discharge from the Akosombo Dam.

At the meeting, officials of VRA delivered a comprehensive presentation on the current flood situation in the district and highlighted potential impacts in the event of a precautionary discharge from the Akosombo Dam.

Attendees included the District Chief Executive for Central Tongu District, the District NADMO Director, traditional leaders from various communities, assembly members, and other stakeholders.
