VRA Takes EPP Sensitization Train to Lower Manya Krobo District

Management of the Volta River Authority (VRA) has met with leaders of the Lower Manya Krobo District Assembly as part of the Authority’s annual community sensitization and engagement.

The engagement was graced by traditional leaders led by the Divisional Chief of Kpong, Nene Kpabitey Nyarko II, Municipal Chief Executive, Simon Kweku Tetteh, Municipal Coordinating Director, Selorm Kwame Tibu and the Lower Manya Municipal NADMO Director, Zakariah Adams.

The VRA indicated that no decision has been taken on a possible precautionary discharge. However this year’s analysis indicates that should the need arise, the Lower Manya district will not be impacted.

In response, the Divisional Chief of Kpong, Nene Kpabitey assured the VRA of the community’s willingness to work with the Authority and contribute their quota for the safety of the community and the country at large.

The leaders of the VRA delegation included Mr. Benjamin Sackey, Director Environment and Sustainability Development, Mr. Samuel Fletcher, Manager Corporate Social Responsibility, Mr. Francis Kobina Abban, Manager Corporate Communications and Branding, and Mrs. Rhoda Arthur, Principal Community Relations Officer.
