VRA Honored with Prestigious Awards at National Governance and Business Leadership Awards Ceremony

The Volta River Authority (VRA) received high honours at the 4th National Governance and Business Leadership Awards, held on Saturday, July 27, at the Accra Marriott Hotel.

The event, which brought together Chief Executive Officers, industry leaders, Board Chairs, and HR executives, celebrated exceptional leadership and corporate excellence under the theme, "The Promise of Leadership: Transformation, Impact, Growth and Prosperity for All."

VRA's impressive contributions to the energy sector were recognized with two coveted awards. The Authority was awarded the "Business with Purpose" (CSR Impact) Award for its significant impact on corporate social responsibility initiatives. Additionally, Ing. Kenneth Arthur, Deputy Chief Executive (Services), was honored with the "Outstanding Business Leadership Personality of the Year (Energy)" Award.

Both awards highlight VRA’s positive impact within the energy sector and underscores the Authority’s commitment to sustainable growth, excellence, innovation, and community development.

Present to receive the awards on behalf of VRA were the Director in Charge of Subsidiaries, Mr. David Adomako Mensah; Director, Human Resources, Mr. Dominic K.
