VRA International Schools
In February 2014, the VRA Schools Department was incorporated under the Companies Act 1963 (Act 179) as "VRA International Schools Limited". First established in 1961 in Akosombo, the VRA International Schools Limited, has expanded its operations to other operational enclaves of the Authority; Akuse in 1982 and Aboadze in 1999. At these locations, the VISL offers both fi rst and second cycle education in consonance with the standards of the Ghana Education Service. The VISL also offers study opportunities in international curricula such as the Cambridge International Examination, UK and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), USA certifi cates. The VRA International Schools Limited has at the core of its activities the provision of quality and affordable education to all wards of stakeholders of the Authority. Towards attaining this, the VISL has plans to expand the current capacities in the various locations to accommodate growing admission requests. The VISL has now been registered as subsidiary company of the VRA but yet to be operationalized.
VRA Schools Department has since February, 2014 been incorporated under the Companies Act 1963 (Act 179) as "VRA International Schools Limited", a subsidiary solely owned by the VRA.
Mandate / Purpose Statement
The Schools exist to provide best quality and affordable education that gives global exposure and rich experience to its clients.
Key Objective
To provide pre-tertiary education within the Ghana Education Service (GES) and allow for International Curriculum that leads to the award of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), the Cambridge International Examination (UK) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (USA) certificates.
