VRA Inaugurates Boards of Subsidiary Companies
The Volta River Authority, in a bid to maintain its lead as Ghana's main electricity producer, is restructuring its three non-core power operations, namely the VRA Schools, VRA Hospitals and Real Estate and Security Department into full subsidiary companies to allow the Authority to focus on its core business of electricity generation in line with the country's power sector reform programme.
In the light of this, the Authority has inaugurated the Boards for the subsidiary companies.

The three subsidiaries are expected to commence operations as Strategic Business Units (SBUs) July 1, 2015.
