1st July Dam Tours

Public Holidays the world over affords individuals, workers, school children, religious organizations, social groups, tourists and corporate organizations a sterling opportunity to take a day off their normal work duties for a relaxation.

One of the most important ways people choose to spend their holidays is by choosing to travel on business and or vacation trips, visit tourist sites and safari.  One of such preferred tourism destinations for most people is a tour to the Akosombo Hydroelectric dam site nestled in the gorgeous landscape of the Akwamu Hills.

A total of 4,298 comprising both local and foreign tourists visited the Akosombo dam site on 1st July this year as compared to 3,470 people who visited within the same period last year.

The pictures below demonstrates how the day meant to tourists who visited the dam site and staff of the Corporate Communications Unit who for the first time received the visitors at the spacious Carpentry Workshop premises to contain the numbers outside the traditional Ghana Commercial Bank compound used over the years.
