VRA Donates to Pupuni Local Assembly School
The Volta River Authority has donated One Thousand and Seventy- Four Exercise books, Four Computers, Two Hundred and Thirty Pencils, One hundred and Ninety Two Pens and Three AIDS Games to the Pupuni L/A Primary and Junior High school as part of the Authority’s Community Development Programme during their Silver Anniversary Celebration.
Presenting the items, Mrs. Rhoda Arthur, Information/ Publicity Officer of VRA said, the items will help facilitate teaching and learning and cautioned the students to prioritize education because it constitutes the key to development.
Mr. Prosper Yekple, Deputy Director, Ghana Education Services Asuogyaman who received the items on behalf of the school was very grateful to VRA for this kind gesture and support.
He said the items will go a long way to help in achieving academic performance in ICT since the school has only two computers in facilitating ICT skills.
The Akosombo Volta River Authority Ladies Association (VRALA) also donated seven (7) VRA @50 branded wall clocks as well as assorted drinks to the school.
Ms.Gifty Manu, President of the association also encouraged the students to be time conscious and take their studies seriously if they want to be the successful leaders.
Present were the District Chief Executive for Asuogyaman, Hon. Johnson Ehiakpor, Mr. Andrews Akriku of the VRA Real Estate and Security Services Department, Mr. Kofi Osei Ameyaw, aspiring MP for Asuogyaman Districts among others.
